The 77th Indian Road Congress is being held in Hyderabad, Telangana after a span of 18 years. The Roads and Buildings Department, Government of Telangana, is supporting the prestigious event to be held at HITEX, the comprehensive exhibition and events destination. The conference consists of technical and commercial sessions.
The enlivening technical sessions engage experts of highway engineering culminating ideas and experiences. These sessions are vital in knowledge sharing, understanding trends and deliberating on challenges. The experts include not just those coming from inside India but from overseas too. Engineers from various state government PWDs or Highways departments, scientists from government organizations and institutions, consultants, manufacturers of road machinery and instruments, users and practicing contractors, technical personnel will participate.
Hyderabad is the sixth largest city and one of the prominent economic hubs in the country with a population of around 70lacs. It houses large research and scientific institutes besides National Academy of Construction and the NICMAR chapter. Above all, the city is headquarters to scores of infrastructure, construction, technical and design companies. The 77th IRC is set to draw most of these institutions and open up a strategic window for synergies, exchange of ideas, new opportunities and expansion. The convention is expected to witness hectic activity in this direction where consultants, designers, companies and end-users aim to leverage the most.
